Casper, Wyoming (AP) October 2011
A Casper historian and re-enactor says someone stole antique firearms, reproduction firearms and American Indian relics from his home.
Bruce Berst tells the Casper Star-Tribune (http://bit.ly/qR20C3 ) the artifacts were taken the night of Oct. 4 while he and his wife were asleep in their home.
Berst says the missing items include a reproduction Colt .36-caliber pistol, a reproduction 1861 British Enfield musket, a Spencer carbine and a Civil War-era Remington .45-caliber pistol.
Police are investigating. They say whoever took the artifacts probably knew of Berst’s collection.
