A man who says he stood nearby as an American Indian Movement activist was shot and killed continued to testify Tuesday against the man accused of shooting her.
Arlo Looking Cloud is testifying for the second day in the murder trial of John Graham, whos accused of shooting Annie Mae Aquash and leaving her to die on South Dakotas Pine Ridge reservation in late 1975. Looking Cloud is serving a life sentence for his role in Aquashs death.
Looking Cloud repeated last week that he saw Graham take Aquash out of a car stopped on a highway and shoot her.
But Grahams attorney, John Murphy, is grilling Looking Cloud about changing his story. He says Looking Cloud considers Graham a meal ticket to a more lenient prison sentence.
