Defending Clean Water in the Penokees Part 2 (3min 54sec)

During 2012 and 2013 the Bad River Ojibwe Band, along with many northern Wisconsin citizens, mayors and county board members attempted to defeat and impact a proposed Open Pit Mining Bill that allows for filling of wetlands, degradation of water and air quality, and potential impacts on river and streams just south of the Bad River Reservation, all which flow in the Bad River that flows thru the reservation.

This video, Part 2 and many more to be made, highlight events, speakers, and statements by those who have contributed their voices to the discussion and warnings by those willing to protect clean water, clean air and treaty resources. There will never be a mine in the Penokees!
