Lac Courte Oreilles Ladies B-Ball team wins tournament

Playing on Valentine's Day in Wakpala, South Dakota the LCO Lady Eagles defeated two Lakota teams to win the Plains Invitational Championship.

Overcoming some heavy obstacles, the LCO lost senior scorer Rachel Fleming to an injury, Elizabeth "Bizzy" Ton was called on her fourth foul, when the team came on strong with no  bench.

According to coach Jason Sanders, "We played a good team in a hostile environment. We fought together as a team and that's why we are champions."

Sanders received the tournament's outstanding coach award. In the closing ceremonies Ton was honored with a star quilt. Ton averaged twenty five points per game.
