Denver, Colorado (NFIC) 10/09

patty_peterwithbra09.jpgThe Denver Chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation has created a fundraising auction to help fight breast cancer. Several journalists, including Hopi journalist Patty Talahongva decorated their bras in order for them to be auctioned off as part of the fundraiser.

You can find more information on the "Bra Art" exhibit by going to www.braart.org and scrolling down to Bra #30 entitled Nukngwaqatsi (Good Life). From there, you can click "Bid on This Bra" and it will take you to a site called 32Auctions where you can make a bid. You will have to create an account in order to make a bid.

The bra was created and painted with the help of Chickasaw artists Peter Parr with a beautiful Mesa scenery.

The auction ends on November 1st. As of October 28th, one bid had been submitted for $50.00 and we will update you with the bidding process during the next 48 hours.
