New Town, North Dakota (AP) 11-09

Authorities are investigating the stabbing death of an 18-year-old from New Town.

FBI spokesman E.K. Wilson says Preston Young Bird was killed in a fight on the Fort Berthold reservation.

Wilson said FBI agents and tribal police were called to a home October 15. He said Young Bird was taken to a Stanley hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Wilson said an investigation is under way.
