Funeral services were held for KAROLYN LEE YAZZIE, 27, on November 18, at the Tse Bonito Community Bible Church. Interment followed at the family plot in Fort Defiance, Arizona. Karolyn was born July 5, 1984 in Fort Defiance. She passed away November 12, 2011, at Fort Defiance.
Karolyn attended Window Rock High School, received her associate's degree as a phlebotomy technician from Pima Medical Institute, attended Mesa Community Testing Center and was continuing her education at the University of New Mexico-Gallup Branch. She was employed with Indian Health Service from 2006 until the time of her death in Fort Defiance and Tohatchi, New Mexico, as a medical lab technician. (Navajo Times, November 17, 2011)
