A man who fired at police during a chase on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation, then fired on the fugitive task force that tried to arrest him, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The Bend Bulletin reports 32-year-old Aldo Antunez pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted aggravated murder and one count of attempted murder.

The search for Antunez began on May 20, when he and Waylon Weaselhead were accused of firing shots while fleeing from Madras and Warm Springs police.

In July, members of the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force found Antunez and tried to serve an arrest warrant. He began shooting and they returned fire, injuring him.

Antunez was hospitalized, then sentenced. No law enforcement officers were injured.
