ATF investigators to visit Crow Creek fire scene

Big Bend, South Dakota (AP) December 2010
Two federal fire investigators will visit a fire-damaged building that housed a Boys and Girls Club on the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation.

Firefighters from at least five fire departments responded to the blaze in the building in the Big Bend community last week.

Resident Agent-In-Charge Robert Boland from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in South Dakota says the investigators will work to pinpoint where and how the fire started.

The building sustained damage to its interior and the contents are considered a total loss.

Boland says the burned building was to be secured following the fire by the Bureau of Indian Affairs and Crow Creek Sioux Tribal Police.
