Sentencing set for man who assaulted fed officer

Sentencing is set for Sept. 26 in federal court in Minot for a Mandaree man who pleaded guilty to assaulting and resisting a federal officer.

U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon says 41-year-old James Yellow Wolf pushed an officer to the floor during an appearance in Fort Berthold Tribal Court in New Town in March.

Yellow Wolf faces up to 16 years in prison.
