Authorities say three people have been arrested at a protest at the headquarters of the White Earth Chippewa Reservation.

Becker County Sheriff Tim Gordon tells KFGO-AM that it happened after tribal leaders decided the protesters camped outside the building were disrupting tribal business.

Gordon says the arrests were made by tribal police and officers with the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

A group of 50 to 60 protesters have been camped out around the headquarters in northwestern Minnesota since Saturday. They are upset with the current tribal government.

White Earth Chairwoman Erma J. Vizenor is facing a recall petition alleging illegal actions in the tribal criminal justice system. She has told the Detroit Lakes Tribune that the allegations are without merit.
