Montana man honored by FBI for work protecting children

The FBI is honoring a Montana psychologist for his work protecting American Indian children who are victims of sexual abuse and other violence.
Earl Sutherland is to receive the agencys 2010 Directors Community Leadership award this week in Billings.
In the last three years, Sutherland has started victim treatment centers for children on the Crow and Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservations.
The Child and Adolescent Referral and Evaluation Centers provide counseling, diagnostic services and psychological treatment to young victims. Staff at the center also work with doctors, law enforcement and prosecutors to investigate abuse.
