The U.S. Department of Transportation is releasing money to help maintain and improve county school bus routes on the Navajo Nation.
Democratic U.S. Sen. Jeff Bingaman says New Mexico will receive a total of $561,000 through the Indian School Bus Route program.
The funding will be shared between McKinley and San Juan counties in northwestern New Mexico.
