Henryetta, Oklahoma (AP) June 2011
Six people are dead following a head-on collision on the Indian Nation Turnpike near Henryetta in eastern Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the accident occurred earlier this month.
Troopers say a vehicle driven by 51-year-old Jorge Salas of Tulsa crossed the center median into oncoming traffic and hit a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Russel Bowden of McAlester. Bowden's vehicle was pulling an 18-foot travel trailer.
Bowden died, as did five occupants of Salas' vehicle, who all were from Tulsa - 14-year-old Vanessa Miller, 27-year-old Sabrina Salas, 28-year-old Luis Duralopez, 8-year-old Malik Gonzalez and 1-year-old Anali Brina Salas.
Anali Salas and Malik Gonzalez were the daughter and son of Sabrina Salas.
Jorge Salas and 29-year-old Jorge Salas Jr. survived but were taken to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition.
