South Dakota State University opens its American Indian Education and Cultural Center this week.
SDSU Office of Diversity interim director Tim Nichols says the center will provide a home for Native American students on campus to access academic and support staff as well as to build community with one another.
The grand opening and dedication will include a traditional blessing of space, remarks from officials and traditional Native American refreshments.
