On Sunday May 22, 2011, the Tornado sirens in Minneapolis went off, and so I (Paul DeMain) and Kimberlie Acosta decided to see if we could get some video and hit the road. Coming up on the back side of the storm just north of Lino Lakes we could see what the Weather people call a storm shelf from the same cell that had just pounded northern Minneapolis, left one person dead and 20,000 people without electricity, so we stopped to watch it and a funnel forms (actually some storm tracker later called it a multiple vortex) and then down out of the sky the funnel drops to the ground. The rest is history as you watch it right now. Also footage of one area where it touched down as it bounced around. Footage by Kimberlie Acosta and Paul DeMain of IndianCountryTV.com.
