Last March Lac du Flambeau tribal elder Goldie Larson, along with several others was arrested for occupying the tribal offices. They were protesting questionable finances related to casino gambling projects. On Monday May 19 they were charged with misdemeanor unlawful assembly and criminal damage to property.

Recently the tribal president Victoria Doud proposed a banishment ordinance applying to murderers, sex offenders, and people who destroy government property. Goldie Larson talks about the implications of the proposed ordinance on banishment in the following video below.
